Allow me to introduce myself . . .

The name’s Katelyn, but you can call me Kate.

I like words, especially if there’s a pun involved. Long story short, I graduated early from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a minor in French. (And a superlative for best dressed.)

They say, “don’t mix business and pleasure” — but I write for both. I’ve held a variety of positions in marketing and communications for the fashion, beauty, lifestyle and entertainment industries: a production intern for off-Broadway shows, a media manager for Yoanna House at NYFW, an editorial intern and then, editorial contributor at POPSUGAR. Since my first poem was published in the eighth grade, I’ve had 36 stories and counting published on POPSUGAR.com, bringing in over 2 million views and 12 thousands shares online.

I am currently a copywriter specialist at Macy’s in the Big Apple, but I also juggle words as a freelance writer and editor on the side.
